I went to my first acoustic guitar lesson without having a guitar so the teacher loaned me his. Fortunately for me, he only had an electric guitar that day. This is how the trip began. Next, it was listening to my father’s AC/DC album: The Razors Edge. I really enjoyed listening to hard rock. I played some music at school and learned the basics. Just before entering high school, some childhood friends called me to create our own metal band. How awesome it was! (I didn’t know anything about that style at this time). I learned, learned and LEARNED! We played a few concerts. Unfortunately, the band split up too soon.
I learned more about music theory in high school, like scales and chords. It’s not the most fun, but so useful for what was to be my future. I finished high school and tried to continue my studies, but that wasn’t where my passion or talent lay. I spent many hard hours alone playing, writing and arranging music and learning the magic of using a Daw. (Ableton/ Logic Pro X). I am an autodidact. I taught myself how to produce and record guitar and vocals. After many songs, I took on the additional challenge of learning to mix and master. It’s required a lot of time and perseverance but I’m happy with the result. I hope you will be too!
